My Terms

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with my terms and conditions. By agreeing to work with me, you are agreeing to these terms of service.

As my valued client, I promise to do my best work for you at all times. My job is to present you and your business in the most genuine and positive light possible. In exchange, you agree to provide me with everything I need to complete your project in a timely fashion. This includes reviewing my work and providing relevant feedback where necessary and do so within our agreed upon time frame.

My turnaround times vary and will be discussed prior to our starting a project. If you've got a firm deadline, please let me know as soon as possible, preferably prior to beginning the project. If you need something done yesterday, I'm probably not your girl. I don't believe in rushing the creative process. I wouldn't feel right about not being able to spend quality time researching and writing your project under the duress of the clock. Please do not take days or weeks to get back to me and then tell me you need it done right away.

I believe in hitting deadlines, but will need your help in order to do so. I cannot be responsible for a any delays caused as a result of a late or absent payment or if you are slow to supply materials or information necessary for me to complete the work. Additionally, I cannot be held responsible for deadlines missed due to circumstances completely beyond my control {acts of God, family or personal emergencies etc...}

I work primarily through email, not via telephone or Skype. The reasons for these are many, but most importantly, it allows me to maintain a written transcript of our dealings to refer to as I work. We will be in contact regularly throughout our work together for progress checkpoints and to touch base.

Because this is a fixed-price agreement on a project rate, I do have to limit the time I spend rewriting and editing. My copywriting services include an initial draft and two subsequent revisions. I allow these revisions at no additional charge, provided they are changes made after copy has been approved. Revisions beyond that will be subject to hourly rates, currently $100/hour. By publishing the work online or in print, you agree that you are satisfied fully with the work. Should any changes need to be made in the future, they will be billed at the hourly rate.

You are entitled to one of the final drafts of your choice and not to all of the drafts I provide you with. This is the case with any and all copy, business name suggestions, or business tagline suggestions.

I trust and believe in the fact that you will make every effort to be respectful and ethical, and I promise the same to you. Everything you share with me will remain in the strictest of confidence. This includes passwords, business plans and ideas, thoughts, correspondence etc...

Your invoice will arrive upon agreeing to work together. Due to the nature of the services and the fact that they are customized and intangible, I require full payment up front on all projects. There are no refunds for services rendered. However, rest assured that we will work together within the confines of the contract until your project defines your vision.

If additional work is required, you will be notified beforehand and billed the remainder at the end of the project. Once I have received full and final payment as described in our agreement, copyright of all of the work I have produced for you is automatically assigned to you.

If you cancel the project or put the project on hold, after work has begun, a kill fee will be applied. Email me if you'd like a copy of the kill fee schedule.The most efficient {and preferred} method of payment is through Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to make a secure payment through their website, though if you are going into business online, I highly suggest that you get one. If you're working on a budget, you might consider the Bill Me Later service through Paypal.

Because I value authenticity above all else in business, I take great pride in differentiating you from the competition. Your finished project will be unique to you. I will do my best to ensure that my work does not coincidentally infringe upon the rights of any third party or existing copyrights. However, I cannot be liable to you, or any third party, for damages, including lost savings and/or profits, claims or complaints, litigation or other incidental, consequential or special damages which may arise regarding your project. I am unable to assume any responsibility whatsoever for your business performance or any loss of business.

Thanks for your understanding!
